My Work
I began my journalism journey in 2017 at College of the Desert. Since then, I've written numerous stories for The Chaparral, Daily Titan, Orange Coast Magazine, Palm Springs Life, The Guide, Vision, and El Paseo Catalogue. Here are some of my favorite stories and projects I've worked on.
01
I had the honor of interviewing Broadway star Betty Buckley to talk about her animated short The Mayfly, just before its screening at the American Documentary and Animation Festival.
02
The legendary trumpet player Herb Alpert shared stories of his childhood, musical journey, and artwork with me ahead of his sold-out jazz concert and Palm Springs art exhibition.
03
After discovering this local animal nonprofit, I wanted to learn more. Founder Bettina Rosmarino shared insights about the organization’s efforts to protect local wildlife and its vision for the future.
04
This story is very meaningful to me as it was my first profile for Palm Springs Life — and it features my favorite animals — dogs! Wendy Wall dedicates her life to healing dogs through massage and physical therapy.
05
Since Spring 2024, I’ve been managing the editorial production of Palm Springs Life’s in-house publication Home + Design. My role includes editing, proofreading, and coordinating proofs with the editor, as well as creating short excerpts from the stories for the Daily Guide newsletter.
06
As part of my capstone course at Cal State Fullerton, I worked with three classmates to investigate how the college was using lab animals. Our team faced several roadblocks along the way, including staff refusing to grant us access to the facility.
